Logging your first flight in FLYTELOG is straightforward. This guide will walk you through the process step by step.

Step 1: Navigate to the Flights Section

After logging into your FLYTELOG account, click on Flights in the main navigation menu. This will take you to your flights list.

Step 2: Click "New Flight"

On the flights list page, click the New Flight button, typically located at the top right of the page.

Step 3: Enter Flight Date

Select the date of your flight using the date picker. You can click the calendar icon or type the date directly in YYYY-MM-DD format.

Step 4: Select or Enter Aircraft Information

You have two options:

  • Select existing aircraft: If you've already added aircraft to your account, choose from the dropdown menu
  • Enter new aircraft: Type the aircraft registration (e.g., G-ABCD) and select or add the aircraft type

Note: You don't need to create an aircraft in advance. You can enter it directly when logging a flight, and it will be added to your aircraft list automatically.

Step 5: Enter Captain and Pilot Capacity

Enter the captain's name (usually "Self" if it was you) and select the pilot capacity:

  • 1: Solo flight

Step 6: Enter Departure and Arrival Airports

  • Departure Time: When you took off
  • Arrival Time: When you landed

Tip: FLYTELOG will automatically calculate your flight time based on these times.
